HBF 2026 Kids Parade

We’re excited to welcome you back to the Heather Bone O’Shaughnessy Kids Parade Fundraiser on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 10AM–1PM at Taylor Field (behind Alden School, next to the Duxbury Free Library).

Families are invited to decorate bikes, scooters, strollers, or wagons and take part in a festive kids’ parade around Alden School. Enjoy a fun-filled morning with:

• Face painting, patriotic tattoos, bracelet making, and oyster shell art

• Lawn games and activities

• A petting zoo and dance party with DJ Dee

• Snacks, food for purchase from Chestnut St Grille, and a visit from J’s Ice Cream Truck

Registration is free, but we kindly ask all attendees to make a donation to the Heather Bone Foundation following registration. Every contribution—no matter the size—makes a difference. You can also choose to become an event sponsor to further support our mission (see below).

As we mark five years since Heather’s passing and the formation of the Heather Bone Foundation, we are deeply grateful to share that this year’s parade proceeds will be evenly distributed among our four incredible past grant recipients: Empower, Hope Floats, Magical Moon Foundation, and Comfort Zone Camp. We feel it is especially fitting to collectively recognize these organizations, as they share our mission and have helped shape our foundation—we have seen firsthand the meaningful impact they have on children and families in our communities. Your donations will directly support their vital programs, providing comfort, connection, and hope to those navigating grief and loss.
